Access map to La Cazarelle

In the village

La Cazarelle is located in a part of the village of Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles blocked with a no entry sign which is nevertheless authorized to residents. The GPS as well as Waze and Google Maps, which respect the highway code, refuse to take this forbidden direction and can lead you to make big detours.

The solution is to enter in your GPS the alternative address 680 chemin des Hortus in Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles. When you arrive at the small roundabout topped by a cross at the bus stop "Cazarels" (see photo at the top of the page), take the Chemin de Molières in the forbidden direction authorised for local residents, following the signs for La Cazarelle.

At the stop sign turn right on Chemin de Bassac and finally turn right on Impasse des Rainettes.

La Cazarelle is at the end of Impasse des Rainettes, on the left.

If you are arriving on the A9 motorway from Béziers or Nîmes, we draw your attention to the fact that most GPS devices that are not updated are unaware of the existence of a new motorway splitting the A9 south of Montpellier. To avoid prolonging your journey by missing the exit to La Cazarelle, please respect the indications below:

  • From A9 motorway from Béziers
Attention if your GPS is not up to date he does not know the existence of a new highway south of Montpellier. A few km after the area of Montpellier-Fabrègues, the A9 splits. Stay in the right lane to take the A709 towards Montpellier (do not stay on the A9 towards Lyon / Marseille / Nîmes). Take the exit n. 28 Vendargues Hôpitaux-Facultés N113. Use the 2nd lane from the right to take the exit towards the N113. Then you can use your GPS with the above alternative address.

  • From A9 motorway from Nîmes
Attention if your GPS is not up to date he does not know the existence of a new highway south of Montpellier. Ten km after exit n. 27 to Lunel / Sommières / La Grande Motte, the A9 splits. Stay on the right lane to take the A709 towards Clermont-Ferrand and Montpellier (do not stay on the A9 towards Barcelona). Take the exit n. 28 Castelnau-le-Lez / Mauguio / Vendargues / Hospitals-Faculties / N113. Then you can use your GPS with the above alternative address.

  • From A750 motorway
There are two options: either take exit 59 Gignac and go through Viols-le-Fort (less motorway, more country road, simpler route), or take exit 62 Saint-Georges-d'Orques (Iit's important not to miss this outing) and go through Grabels (more motorway, more urban road, more speed bumps, more complicated route).
In both cases, you can end the route using your GPS with the above alternative address.
